Last updated: June 9, 2026
Davis Coast House ("we," "us") operates a private booking-calendar application used by family and invited guests to request and manage stays at our coast house. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. The app is invite-only and is not a public service.
Information we collect
- Account details you provide: your name, email address, and mobile phone number.
- Booking details you enter: requested dates, notes, and payment status.
- Security data needed to sign you in: your password (stored only as a salted hash) and records that you completed phone verification.
How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and your bookings.
- To send account security text messages โ one-time sign-in codes and password-reset codes โ to the mobile number you provide. See our SMS Terms.
- To operate, secure, and support the application.
Your mobile phone number
You can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP; opting out will disable text-message sign-in for your account. Reply HELP for help.
Service providers
We share limited data with providers strictly to run the app:
- Messaging provider (Twilio / Azure Communication Services) โ sends our account-security text messages (receives the destination phone number and message content).
- Microsoft Azure โ hosting and database.
These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Data retention & security
We keep account and booking information for as long as your account is active. Passwords are stored as salted hashes; verification codes are short-lived. Access is restricted to the household administrators.
Your choices
You may ask us to view, correct, or delete your information, or to remove your account, by contacting us.
